bowler achieves perfection...five times!
NORTH HALEDON - How does that strike you?! Introduced to the sport at age three by his grandfather, 20-year-old North Haledon bowler Steve Aiello has posted five perfect games since March of this year. He recorded his first on March 8, then followed with perfectos on March 12 and 19, April 9 and June 5. American Bowling Congress statistics indicate that approximately 40,000 perfect games were bowled in the 1999-2000 season. Even more rare is an 800 series, that was only accomplished 10,318 times...and twice by Aiello (January 15, March 5). Annual
